Military students and veterans can click here to learn more about getting started at Western International University (WIU).

WIU will apply up to 60 semester credits for non-classroom experience toward your bachelor degree program, including your experience in the U.S. military.

Your military training and occupational experience is reviewed for transfer credit based on the recommendations of the American Council on Education (ACE) or Program on Non-Collegiate Sponsored Instruction (PONSI).

Transfer credits will be reduced for any exams or courses that duplicate subject matter or exceed the maximum credit limit.
