WIU International Friends Association

The Western International University (WIU) International Friends Association is dedicated to establishing a strong community comprised of students, faculty, and staff at all WIU campuses, by:

  • Embracing the cultural diversity of the student population at WIU through programs that celebrate the cultural heritage of WIU's students, while expanding the horizons of all members of the University's community.
  • Encouraging dialogue and cooperation among students of all nations at WIU's U.S. campuses.
  • Assisting international students in their adjustment to American culture and the WIU educational model.
  • Providing a forum to meet the needs of WIU's students for services such as career networking, tutoring and study groups, and group activities and excursions.
  • Providing a conduit for communication between students and University administration, in order to increase student awareness of school programs and enhance the University's ability to meet the needs of WIU students.
