Frequently Asked Questions
I just applied and want to know how many credits transferred into my program
of study. When will I be notified?
Generally, once all your academic records have been received from all the
colleges and universities you attended, the evaluation of your previous academic
records will take approximately four to six weeks. CLEP, DANTES, and other tests
for credit are considered part of your academic record and must be requested to
complete your admissions file.
How will I be notified of my acceptance?
Upon completion of your admissions file and evaluation of academic records,
the Admissions department will mail a letter regarding your acceptance and a
copy of your official evaluation of transfer credit.
I just submitted a change of program. When will I know if the change was
approved?
Once the change of program form is received by Admissions, the new evaluation
can take six to eight weeks, after which time a letter regarding admission into
the new program is sent to you.
I just submitted additional course work from a local school for a course I
completed concurrently with my WIU studies. When will I know if the transfer
credit was applied?
Once the official transcript is received by Admissions, your transfer credit
evaluation can take six to eight weeks, after which time a letter regarding the
transfer credit applied to your program of study is sent to you.
