Admission Requirements

Domestic Students

To apply for admission to a WIU graduate program, you must:

  • Complete and sign your graduate application, listing all schools attended
  • Pay your application fees
  • Complete an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited university
  • Have a 2.75 GPA at the completion of your undergraduate studies
     
  • Submit an official degree posted transcript from the institution awarding your bachelor degree. We recommend that you request transcripts and test scores from all regionally accredited schools attended

International Students

To apply for admission to a WIU graduate program, you must:

  • Complete and sign your graduate application, listing all schools attended
  • Pay your application fees
  • Have a higher secondary school diploma or equivalent from a recognized school or agency
  • Complete an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited university
  • Have the equivalent of a 2.75 GPA at the completion of your undergraduate studies
     
  • Submit an official degree posted transcript, provisional certificate, or diploma from the institution awarding your undergraduate degree
     
  • Submit marks, transcripts, examination scores, and certificates from all institutions attended, Certified translations may be requested
  • Show English proficiency
